Who Telehealth Is For

Online therapy isn't a backup option. For many people, it's the best way to make therapy actually fit into their lives.

Maybe you have a packed schedule, young kids at home, live outside the Triangle, or simply feel more comfortable talking from your own space. Telehealth gives you access to a Third Wave therapist without adding another commute to your day.

Third Wave offers telehealth therapy throughout North Carolina, with many of our therapists also licensed or authorized to work with clients in additional states. Some of our psychologists participate in PSYPACT, allowing them to provide telehealth to eligible clients across participating states.

And if you started with us in person and life takes you somewhere new, you may not have to start over with someone new. When licensure allows, your therapist can keep riding the wave with you.

  • Several of our therapists hold licensure in SC, FL, and GA.

  • Several of our psychologists are PsyPact credentialed, allowing them to practice across 40+ participating states. Reach out and we'll check your state's eligibility.

Many of the same services we offer in person are also available through online therapy, including support for anxiety, depression, trauma and PTSD, ADHD, OCD, eating disorders, perinatal mental health, couples therapy, adolescent therapy, and EMDR.

EMDR can also be provided through telehealth for appropriate clients. Your therapist can help you determine whether virtual EMDR is a good fit for you.
